What Is Lactation Support and Why Is It Important?
Lactation support is essential for moms who want to breastfeed successfully but may encounter challenges along the way. Whether you're facing latching issues, supply concerns, nipple pain, or just want some reassurance, professional support can make a world of difference.
Our lactation consultant in San Diego is certified and experienced in helping moms overcome these obstacles and more. We focus on providing both educational guidance and emotional encouragement to ensure that breastfeeding becomes a rewarding experience for you and your baby.
What You’ll Learn at the Nursing Mom’s Club
Each weekly session covers key topics and concerns related to breastfeeding. As part of our supportive community, you'll have the opportunity to ask questions, receive hands-on help, and connect with other moms. Topics include:
How to Increase Milk Supply
Struggling with low supply? We’ll guide you through proven strategies to increase milk production, from proper feeding frequency to nutrition, hydration, and effective pumping routines.
Breastfeeding Tips for New Moms
New to nursing? Learn practical breastfeeding tips for new moms, including how to get a good latch, signs of a proper feed, and how to comfortably nurse in public or on the go.
Is My Baby Getting Enough Milk?
One of the most common concerns among new mothers is: “Is my baby getting enough milk?” Our IBCLC will teach you how to identify hunger cues, monitor diaper output, and look for signs of healthy weight gain in your newborn.
Best Positions for Breastfeeding
From the cradle hold to football hold and laid-back breastfeeding, we’ll demonstrate and help you practice the best positions for breastfeeding to make each nursing session more comfortable and effective.

Meet Other Moms and Build Your Village
Breastfeeding, while natural, doesn’t always come naturally—and that’s okay. One of the biggest benefits of joining a breastfeeding support group like the Nursing Mom’s Club is the opportunity to connect with other mothers who are experiencing similar joys and struggles.
Our weekly meetings are designed to foster real connections, providing not just help with breastfeeding, but also friendship and camaraderie. Peer support has been shown to improve breastfeeding outcomes, increase maternal confidence, and reduce feelings of isolation or anxiety.
Why Choose an IBCLC?
An IBCLC, or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, is the gold standard in lactation care. Our certified consultant offers personalized support and expert advice tailored to your specific concerns and breastfeeding goals.
By choosing a group led by an IBCLC, you can be confident you're receiving the most accurate, up-to-date, and compassionate care available. Our consultant stays informed on the latest research, techniques, and products to help you and your baby thrive.
