Your Baby's First Doctor's Visit
The first well-child visit is a cornerstone of newborn care and is typically scheduled 1-5 days after birth. This initial appointment is essential for monitoring your baby's transition to life outside the womb and establishing a foundation for their long-term health.
During this important first visit, our pediatric team will:

Perform a complete physical examination.

Measure your baby's weight, length, and head circumference to ensure they are growing properly.

Check for developmental milestones appropriate for a newborn.

Assess your baby’s feeding patterns, whether you are breastfeeding or formula-feeding.

Administer the Vitamin K shot and Hepatitis B vaccine, if not already given at the hospital.

Answer your questions about newborn care, from sleeping patterns to diaper output.
