Labor can be a stressful experience. Being prepared and bringing the essentials you will need will help your labor experience not be as stressful. Preparing a hospital bag for labor and delivery is a crucial step in ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience. Start with essentials for both mom and partner.

Items to Pack:

  • Comfortable clothes for mom to leave hospital

  • Robe

  • Toiletries

  • Phone charger

  • Your Birth Plan

  • Snacks

  • Reusable water bottle

  • Nipple Cream

  • Car seat

  • It is important that you have your car seat correctly installed before labor. To ensure your child's safety, hospitals will not allow you to leave without an installed car seat. If you are in need of a car seat or guidance on how to install a car seat, contact our office. We can connect you to resources that offer free or low-cost car seats and instructions on how to install them.

  • Coming home outfit for baby

  • Pediatrician's contact information

  • ID Card

  • Insurance Card if you have one

Items NOT to pack

  • Bath Towels

  • Postpartum Care Products

  • Diapers and Wipes

Being well-prepared ensures that the focus remains on the upcoming arrival and minimizes stress during this exciting time.
